Traumatic Brain Injury (Closed Head Injury)
Magnetic Molecular Energizing (MME) has
been used effectively for Traumatic Brain Injury (Closed Head Injury).
MME treatment is considered
investigational and is utilized under the direction and auspices of an
Investigational Review Board (IRB). The IRB complies with FDA
requirements for investigational therapy usage and results review. MME
therapy is safe and non-invasive. In some cases, patients may experience
some tingling, however, most experience no ill effects and can talk,
sleep, read or watch TV.
Facts about Traumatic Brain Injury (Closed Head
Injury)
- Approximately 750,000 people in the U.S. are hospitalized because
of a head injury. The injury is most common in males 15 – 24 years old
and caused by auto or motorcycle accidents. 70% of all accidental
deaths are due to head injuries.
- Closed head injuries occur when the brain strikes the skull or an
object causes the skull to crush into the brain. Either of these can
cause bleeding and swelling in the brain.
- This injury can cause memory loss and confusion, partial paralysis
or numbness, loss of mentation, chronic depression, chronic headaches,
epilepsy, dizziness and loss of taste and smell. These symptoms can
remain permanent.
Treatment and Case Results
Extensive rehabilitation with physical, occupational and speech therapy
is required.
A.P. is a 31 year old male who sustained a closed
head injury 2 ½ years earlier after a beating to the head. He was in a
rehab program, but complained of difficulty with cognition, reading,
writing, attention focus, fatigue and memory. He completed 250 hours
of MME. After that time he was working full time on a landscape crew
and driving with improved memory and reading, writing and math
calculations. Since treatment, his improvement has continued.
C.F. is a 21 year old female with a brain injury
from an auto accident. Prior to MME her major problems included
frequent grand mal seizures, difficulty with balance when walking,
poor memory, fatigue and marked left sided weakness. She completed 600
hours of MME. After MME she had complete return to normal motor
function, improved memory, no seizures in 5 months, resumption of
ability to write stories and poetry, as well as, independent living.
Although no absolute assurances can be
given, there is good reason for optimism for benefit, in individuals who
are accepted for treatment, after review and screening. MME appears to
enhance and speed the healing of tissues at the cellular and molecular
level.
