Treatment may be scheduled during the day time hours for short duration therapy or for 10-12 hour night periods for long duration therapy medical problems.  Clerical and Administrative staff is available only during office hours (9-5) Monday - Friday.

Kitchen: Please be advised that kitchen facilities are here for the convenience of everyone. If you wish to use the kitchen, you are responsible for bringing your own food supplies, as well as for clean up. We do provide plates, silverware, glasses, etc. for your convenience. A refrigerator and microwave are available for use. A stove is not available.

Food: You must provide your own food and drinks. Water and coffee are available. Please make sure your food is marked with your name and the date. Food items should be labeled and kept in a bag or containers in the cupboards or the refrigerator. Please respect other patients and family members. Use only your own food. Please discard old food. When you leave, make sure you have disposed of all your food.

Entertainment: Patient treatment rooms are furnished with a Satellite TV, DVD Player, and VCR. If you wish to bring your own videotapes and/or radio, books or magazines, please do so. We find that entertainment is often helpful to the patient.

Bathrooms: The treatment facility is furnished with two bathrooms with showers for your use. Please furnish your personal bath and hygiene products. Towels are provided. Bathrooms are handicap equipped.

Laundry: AMRI-MI does not have laundry facilities for patients, family or visitors. Laundry facilities are available at the hotels listed.

Telephones: Telephones and office computers/faxes are for office business and not available for patient or caregiver use. If you wish a telephone, please use your calling card or cell phone which can be used in the lobby or kitchen areas.

Children: Children receiving treatment must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver at all times. We suggest you bring entertainment for all children/siblings (toys, videotapes, books, etc.).

Neighborhood: AMRI-MI is located in the Northeast suburbs of Detroit. The area is relatively newly developed. We are surrounded by restaurants, movie theaters and shopping malls. Directly across the street is a major indoor mall (Lakeside Mall) with department stores, specialties stores, entertainment and restaurants. All living, shopping, grocery, drug and entertainment is available within one mile or less.

Caretakers: Some patients are required to have family/caretakers available with them at all times. AMRI-MI cannot provide caretakers.  The treatment rooms are equipped with chair beds to allow for overnight stay of caretakers.

Medications: Be sure to bring all necessary and prescribed medications or prescriptions from your physicians. Medications cannot be supplied by AMRI-MI. Pharmacies are available nearby.

Smoking, alcoholic beverages, and/or social drugs will inhibit the success of your MME treatment.  For best results, discontinue use of these items for: one month prior to treatment, for duration of treatment and for six months after treatment.

Cool room temperatures are required for the proper function of the MME devices.  Extra blankets are available for those that need them.

Attire: Comfortable clothing, such as workout clothes or pajamas should be worn.
