Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Magnetic Molecular Energizing (MME) has been used effectively for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.

MME treatment is considered investigational and is utilized under the direction and auspices of an Investigational Review Board (IRB). The IRB complies with FDA requirements for investigational therapy usage and results review. MME therapy is safe and non-invasive. In some cases, patients may experience some tingling, however, most experience no ill effects and can talk, sleep, read or watch TV.

Facts about Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

  1. 15 – 65% of patients with diabetes have some form of peripheral neuropathy.
  2. 7.5% have a neuropathy at the time of diabetes diagnosis.
  3. The common causes are the increased blood sugars effect on the peripheral nerves and on the small blood vessels supplying the nerves.
  4. The common symptoms range from decreased sensation to total numbness, burning pain and loss of strength especially in small muscles of the feet or hands.
  5. It is normally present in diabetic patients over the age of 50 but can occur in any age group and is associated with either juvenile or adult onset diabetes.

Treatment and Case Results
Treatment is essentially unavailable for this condition. Some new drug development has recently occurred and has varying benefit. An IRB approved study is currently utilizing the investigational MME technique.

J.G. is a 35 year old female with brittle juvenile diabetes on insulin. Her neuropathy symptoms are 10 years in duration. She complains of aggravation with ambulation and numbness, pins and needles and burning all progressively increasing. After 120 hours of MME exposure she indicated a marked improvement and ability to have feeling rather than numbness. This was validated by neurometer “nerve testing.”

T.T. is a 58 year old female type II diabetic on diet control with neuropathy in feet of 6 years duration. She stated presence of burning and tingling symptoms of 6 years duration with recent progression. After completing 80 hours of MME she reported an 80% improvement which has continued for 1 year.

Although no absolute assurances can be given, there is good reason for optimism for benefit, in individuals who are accepted for treatment, after review and screening. MME appears to enhance and speed the healing of tissues at the cellular and molecular level.
