Cerebral Palsy
Magnetic Molecular Energizing (MME) has
been used effectively for Cerebral Palsy.
MME treatment is considered
investigational and is utilized under the direction and auspices of an
Investigational Review Board (IRB). The IRB complies with FDA
requirements for investigational therapy usage and results review. MME
therapy is safe and non-invasive. In some cases, patients may experience
some tingling, however, most experience no ill effects and can talk,
sleep, read or watch TV.
Facts
about Cerebral Palsy
- There are approximately 5000 infants diagnosed each year in the
U.S. and 1000 to 1500 diagnosed when starting preschool.
- It can occur prior to birth, during birth or after. It is caused
by failure of the brain to develop properly or damage to the brain.
The latter can occur from an injury prior to or during birth which may
produce oxygen deprivation to the brain.
Treatment and Case Results
Treatment predominantly includes physical therapy, stretching
activities, speech, rehab and general supportive care. MME is utilized
in combination with many of the physical activities.
W.B. is a 62 year old man with Cerebral Palsy since
birth. He was institutionalized and is incontinent of bowel and
bladder. He speaks minimally. He has frequent muscle spasms and marked
loss of motor strength in all 4 extremities. He was generally
deteriorating his physical activity. After 264 hours of MME his
caregivers (physical and speech therapists) indicated that although
his functional status had improved 30 – 40% at completion of MME, it
improved over 50% at 6 months. He was operating a computer with his
foot. At 12 months it was reported that his strength and flexibility
was improved. His manual control and endurance in his wheelchair
improved and improvement was maintained.
I.B. is a 7 year old girl with Cerebral Palsy since
birth. She had occasional seizures, spoke 1 – 2 word statements, could
not crawl or walk and had reduced motor strength, attention focus and
chewing/swallowing. After 201 hours of MME she was reported by her
mother to be significantly more verbal with 3 – 4 word phrases, no
seizures, more motor activity, less spasticity, much improved
attentiveness and improved chewing/swallowing.
Although no absolute assurances can be
given, there is good reason for optimism for benefit, in individuals who
are accepted for treatment, after review and screening. MME appears to
enhance and speed the healing of tissues at the cellular and molecular
level.
